VETEMENTS studies, dissects and redefines the essence of fashion by creating garments that are meant to be worn. The label avoids current trends and tendencies and focuses on giving the wearer the freedom to form their own visual voice. The pieces don’t tell a story, they offer a new wardrobe that is easy to mix with old and new promoting personal style above a “fashion uniform.”

VETEMENTS is inspired by a masculine wardrobe where tailoring is always the focal point. At the core of the brand is the research between the clothes, the body and the attitude of the wearer and street style is often referred in the collections resulting in exaggerated proportions, contrasting silhouettes and authentic materials. Ultimately, the design approach is to create clothes that are clothes appreciated for its unique creative and technical qualities.


VETEMENTS is founded by Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp, Belgium graduate, Demna Gvasalia. After a seven-year stint at Maison Martin Margiela and Louis Vuitton, Gvasalia was toying with the idea of creating an innovative collective of friends and former colleagues that would focus on designing clothes they themselves wanted to wear. He carefully picked his team and launched the collection in March 2014 and is now sold in over 150 stockists around the world.


The brand is broadly positioned within the high-end and luxury market.
